SMIRT Support Products

SMIRTCatV4Read™ is used to directly read a solid design from CATIA V4 into SMIRTDieShop™. This product reads solids, surfaces and face color but generally does not retrieve other attribute information such as detail number, description, etc. if no detail number is found, a detail number for each solid will be automatically assigned by SMIRT during processing. Specific "mapping" capabilities are available within this product such as the ability to recognize and map finish surface colors to SMIRT finish machining faces (MFA). This application does not require a CATIA V4 license. V4 CAD licenses used during solid model design be available.

SMIRTCatV5Read™ is used to directly read a solid design from CATIA V5 into SMIRTDieShop™. SMIRTCatV5Exp™ is an exportation tool that allows CATIA V5 model data and critical Bill of Material (BOM) information to be exported directly from a CATIA V5 design into a SMIRT file. This SMIRT Product requires that the same CATIA V5 CAD licenses used during solid design be available.

SMIRTUgRead™ is used to directly read a solid design from Unigraphics into SMIRTDieShop™. This product reads solids, surfaces and face color but generally does not retrieve other attribute information such as detail number, description, etc. if no detail number is found, a detail number for each solid will be automatically assigned by SMIRT during processing. Specific "mapping" capabilities are available within this product such as the ability to recognize and map finish surface colors to SMIRT finish machining faces (MFA). This application does not require a Unigraphics license.

SMIRTUgExp™ is an exportation tool that allows Unigraphics model data and critical Bill of Material (BOM) information to be exported directly from a Unigraphics design into a SMIRT file. This SMIRT Product requires that the same Unigraphics CAD licenses used during solid design be available.

SMIRTDataMan™ is an application that is used to manage data that is already in SMIRT format. The user can do the following:

· Rename a SMIRT file.
· Share User Created Data (Axes, Notes,
Display Files) among users working on SMIRT files with the same design name by using the Import/Export function. User Data can also be deleted from with a SMIRT file.
· Combine two or more SMIRT files together by using the Merge function.
· Import machining attributes or points from a .tff or .ftr file and then integrate them into the correct SMIRT file, which they belong to by using the Hole Attribute function.
· Compare a newly revised solid design with a previous revision level design within a SMIRT file. The user can then migrate user created data (Axes, Notes, and Display files) and any modified stock list information to the new design by using the Compare Design function.

SMIRTCCM™ is an exportation tool that allows CATIA V4 Chrysler Construction Model data and critical Bill of Material (BOM) information to be exported directly from a CATIA V4 design into a SMIRT file. SMIRTCCM™ is available to run on either UNIX, IBM AIX or SGI platforms. This SMIRT product requires that the same CATIA V4 CAD licenses used during solid model design be available.
